The liver is an amazing organ. Tasked with removing toxins from the body, the liver acts as a natural filter. However, with today’s poor, overly processed dietary habits and overindulgence, it is easy for your liver to become overwhelmed and “clogged”. The liver filters the toxins from the bloodstream, chemically changing them into harmless substances that can be excreted easily. As one of the largest and most important organs in the body, the liver’s efficiency is vital to overall health.

If the liver is unable to remove all of the harmful substances from the bloodstream, the toxins build up in our tissues and cause numerous health problems, including elevated cholesterol, digestive problems including constipation, nausea and irritable bowel syndrome, allergies, depression and disruption of sugar levels within the bloodstream. Chronic fatigue and pain are often signs of a liver that is not functioning efficiently. There are many herbal supplement plans on the market to help with liver detoxification. Many of them have great testimonials and are not too uncomfortable to use. Try to avoid the harsh colon cleansers and complete fasts, as these tend to “shock” your system and release a large volume of harmful substances into the bloodstream at one time.

You should always start with a simple less stressful plan for liver detox. Make a lifestyle change that will allow your liver to function more efficiently. First, have a liver detox diet that eliminate toxins from your diet and flush your system with filtered water. Eat organic foods and wash your fruits and vegetables carefully. Substitute organic, lean meats and fruits and vegetables in their natural form for processed foods. Switch to “liver healthy” foods that will support liver function: beats, artichokes, broccoli and cabbage, seaweed and radishes. Add a good multi-vitamin and support liver function with milk thistle, shown to regenerate liver cells. Liver detoxification may be the answer if you are feeling achy and tired. Support your body’s natural filter and eat a liver healthy detox diet. You may be surprised at how much better you’ll feel.

Most of those whom I know had started several times to follow a physical fitness program but after a week or two they stopped and that is because of the wrong start they had. The real trick is to start your fitness program gradually and through known criteria so you do not feel bored and cease your practicing.

It is very important to start step by step. A common mistake is to jump from square one to square three because you want to see results quickly. The real problem is that you will feel that you are tired and you will not continue practicing. On the other hand, if you take it gradually then your body will get used to exerting effort and you will be able to keep up with the training dose and increase it with time. Another important advantage of taking it gradually is that your body will start to elevate its metabolic rate to cope with the increasing physical effort exerted. If you increased your practicing level suddenly then your body won’t be able to produce the required energy and you will feel fatigue.

You do not need to buy fancy equipment in order to feel fit. All you need is a pair of running shoes, fitness mat and some simple equipment and you will have enough to build a high level of fitness. Start with 15 minutes running in the morning and 3 sets of push – ups and crunches. After one week increase the running time to 20 minutes and increase the number of sets without increasing the number of reps. After another week you can increase running according to your body response and start increasing the number of reps per set. The next stage is to decrease the gap between sets in order to build stamina. This simple program is capable of making you more than fit in couple of months.

The Master Cleanse, sometimes called the lemonade diet, is basically a period of fasting where the only item you eat or drink is a special drink that is made from lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water. Along with the lemonade drink, those who follow the Master Cleanse diet will do a salt-water flush to cleanse the bowel. The diet is followed for at least ten days to effectively flush the body of toxins.

A colon cleanse is another internal cleansing option. You can find many colon cleansing products available over the counter. When you take the colon cleanser, it will flush all of the toxins out of your bowels. A colon cleanse takes several weeks, and many people continue their colon cleanse for a month or two. During this time, they avoid eating sugary foods so that their bodies can be flushed of the harmful toxins that are making them feel tired and sick.
